Aman Bawa (Chartered Accountant)
Senior Auditor & Agricultural Accounting Specialist
Anyone who goes through the professional qualification process twice has to be a sure bet. Aman is originally from Punjab, India. He had already gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (GNDU, Amritsar) and was working towards the equivalent Chartered Accountancy qualification when he moved to New Zealand in 2004.
He worked for some years in the agricultural industry in accounting and administrative roles before beginning fulltime studies again. He now has a Bachelor of Business, a post graduate Professional Accounting qualification and is a New Zealand qualified CA. Aman specialises in auditing and speaks Hindi, Punjabi and, of course, English.
His building and renovating skills are as detailed and meticulous as his accounting prowess. Aman’s two kids tell him he can be anything he wants but never a cook, which says plenty about his culinary skills. You’d be jumping to the wrong conclusion to think he could give you some tips about Indian food as he confesses to favouring a good old kiwi roast and pavlova.
