He joined the firm in 1999 as a graduate accountant and has since become expert in accounting, trusts, asset protection, and financial advice. He brings a broad perspective, and his knowledge of the Hawke’s Bay region and its people, to his clients. He sees his role as a kind of financial compass, helping people understand which direction best suits their circumstances.

His approach is grounded in life beyond the desk. Time outdoors — camping, tramping, water skiing, and staying active — has taught him to read conditions, adapt when plans change, and approach challenges one step at a time. Family and close friendships also shape how he works with clients, helping him appreciate how financial decisions are not only about numbers, but also everyday realities.
